The project singularity of space was the first project to my interior journey. In this first, we created our own room where we spend more time in our waking hours and need to show in hourly episodes.

For this, I first clicked the pics of my room from every angle and to show each event I made 2 drawing from 2 opposite corners to make it more understandable. While drawing the room I was not much able to draw using perspectives so it was very difficult for me to draw. Then I started learning perspectives from the internet and after that, I was able to at least draw and the camera pics guided me the perspectives. This exercise generally helped me in guiding the basic setting of the room and the elements that are present and how they are used to create the context of that room. I also learned to make elements like furniture with depth and appropriate proportions. Before starting making all these I had zero knowledge about but it helped me to remember the elements and setting that create the context of a bedroom. This opened my senses of drawing a room.

After this exercise, my next task was to make the room of the writer by reading his book and identifying the elements that should be in his room that create the context of an author. Every step I made led to new learning. Like I was making the desk of the author in a corner but his study table is the main highlight of his room, These small ergonomic things which complete the elements that could relate with the context author was mentioning. This exercise increased my imagination and made me think about these things and increase my experience on general knowledge of context which had to be created. It also helped me to improve my knowledge from basic to advanced levels both in terms of drawing and context.

Then in the next 2 exercises, the same thing was happening that we need to read a chapter or hear to son and identify the elements and create the room in the context which is being talked about. Those 2 exercises also increased my knowledge of the elements that create the interior of that space according to the context. Like, while creating the 1st class train room I didn't know there is always a washbasin in the room. These all helped me in understanding how elements change according to time and money. The office in the official visit was creating the context of the royal office of Europe in old times. Sometimes doing background research helps a lot in identifying the correct context.

Then there was an exercise in which I had to research the comic of Tintin and need to identify how did Herge, its author searched about the elements that he wanted to create at every scene. Were his creations in every scene correct or just imagination. After thorough research, I and my whole class collated the information and find out that he was very correct and took the inspirations from his surroundings, newspapers and were based on the time period of the 16th-20th century. His comics are full of history and he created context so precisely in every scene.

He is an inspiration for us now and drew everything with correct perspectives and could easily communicate what he wanted to convey. We all researched things that are related to interiors like antiques, furniture, art, architecture, electronic devices, vehicles, crafts, etc. which we saw and studied from one comic book. This will surely help us in future to find about these things which could be used as the inspirations for designs or the decor items.

Without identifying the correct context we will never be able to make the correct design outcomes. Context helps in generating the idea like the time period, place, mood, colour, elements, etc. which need to be there. Then according to these conditions, the design outcome is

made to complete the required task.

By phase-1 of this activity, I understood how to identify the desired context and make the design outcomes as per the conditions. Then I learned how to show this using the correct perceptive drawing of the space and improving with more knowledge.

For the improvement of this, I will practice more perspectives and research moe the historical things related to interiors to improve my knowledge and ability to draw these with my imaginations also and decrease the fear of colouring and shading. I had never drawn anything like these things before it was my improvement from basic to more advanced knowledge and I need to keep it up. All the above drawings I was able to make only by looking and not my proper imaginations due to the lack of knowledge which needs to be improved.
