Media Exploration
The 2 mediums I chose are - Oil Pastel and Artist Water Colours

Oil Pastel Artist Water Colours

According to me, the dry medium was more effective in creating my desired flower because I was easily able to get the colour close to my flower and the use of smudging helped in articulating the fall light and shadow on the flower. Although watercolours give more reality to art, it requires a lot of exploration and hard work but in dry and oil pastel colours it was easy to do that.
For me, Oil Pastel is the most comfortable medium. Oil pastel is a ready-to-go colour medium and gave me close-to colours of the flowers. It also gave correct depth and shadow effects but took me hard to smudge. the pigments but finally it was great working with oil pastel. I also liked using dry pastel colours but its pigments do not get absorbed to the paper and got spread everywhere.
