Glossary

1. Harmony - Use of colours in a pleasing manner.

2. Unity - The process of making art in such a way that it gives the feeling of harmony to anyone who sees that art.

3. Integrity - It is a state of being united or undivided.

4. Movement - It changes the position of the viewer's eyes according to the focus of the line or the colours in art.

5. Emphasis - Making focus point in art by giving attractive colours or by giving focal movement to a particular point.

Use of Colours

Reasons for choosing these colours

I chose a yellow colour because it is always considered as the colour of happiness and to show happiness from that particular area. Then I chose a green colour that is always the colour of nature and I used it to show the parks and gardens in my area. Then I chose a white colour with some texture to show the colour of the noise in that area. Like in the map I wanted to show the noises of the vehicles in my area I used that white colour there. Then I chose a blue colour to show the realistic feel means to feel that being present in that area.

How these colours created the desired impact?

The colours I chose are very randomly and when I used them on the map I realised that I used a complementary colour scheme of blue and yellow and it was looking very cool. But the white colour is used to show was actually not showing noise it was looking randomly. Although my map was looking great, I realised that the colours I used are very common ones and I feel like creating a very common look to the map.

What could I have done differently?

I think I must change the colours by giving some tints, tone or shades or by giving some textures in the colours which would have made my map more attractive.

Advantages of this project

• I got to learn a new way of representing our ideas, without worrying about my bad drawings.

• Anything which we created is very neat and clean and editable.

• We got a chance to apply simple tools of the illustrator to create vast things.

Disadvantages of this project

• When we really started enjoying this project and it came to its end.

• Everything took a lot of time to make the map more beautiful.
