On 11th September we started with our new project in digital skills and this activity we made a map of our kind.
Pre Task
In this task, I made the hand-drawn map of the area of 1km around my house. I made the sort of geographical map and with many details.

Then on 18th September, we were told to make the map on the illustrator and to think about the feelings I want to give to my map.
My feelings are -
To get the feel of the vehicles noises.
To get the geographical feel.
To get a happy feel like being present in my area.
To get the feel of the neighbourhoods and people present there.
To get a realistic feel.
I never created anything like this before and it was very interesting in creating it. By this activity, I also got to know more about my area and it brought back a lot of memories associated with my place.
After this task, we were told to scan this map and trace it in the illustrator and for this Sir taught us a new feature to make roads with line and increase the stroke and expand it and it will create the houses as the negative space.
This Map I made on the illustrator.

By making this line drawing I don't think it shows the negative space as the houses because there are many of them and it would take a lot of time to draw so many rectangles for it. So I left it like that. There is also one mistake I did is that I didn't keep a copy of the lines before expanding it which literally led me in the problem.
Then we were given a pre-task to make any 3 icons to get the feedback for the icons.
These are the icons I made.

My icons were selected and made more of them and also made colour schemes to be used in my map.
I completed my icons parts and swatches. My icons are selected but the swatches needed more explorations but I didn't try it. I used a yellow colour for happiness, the green colour of nature, and the blue colour to give a realistic feel. I randomly thought to select a whitish colour to show the traffic noise in that area. I didn't actually think at that time, I made the complementary colour scheme which really turned out to be good.
Then After this, I did the completion of 1/2 Stage

I placed the appropriate icons were required to be. I just give colours according to feel from that particular area. I used yellow colour in those regions which are close to my home, where I do cycling, bought the cycle, where my father's shop and police station, where I roam a lot. I used the blue colour in that area where I don't usually roam or had any bindings and to just give the feel of being present in that place.
When I showed this to the teacher, she didn't feel anything that is associated with noise and when I told ma'am that I used white colour for it she suggested me to make icons of the vehicle to show the noise in that area.
Then I made this -

I added the icon of a car, train and metro to show the noise of vehicles in that area. I also added the text to the places where it requires. I also give heading to the map in the red circle to draw attention and under it, I showed keys to the icons. But this idea didn't work well. Even in the feedback ma'am told me to correct it and I shifted it in the bottom right corner.
After that, I finally completed stage 2 and made my map like this.

My final map really turned out very gratefully.
After this, we have to make the map using dots only but it didn't turn out well. I just made a pattern and used it as the roads and left the negative space for the houses and wanted to show the noise in that area. I got so much confusion about what should I do in this. The harmony, movements, balance, emphasis and rhythm, everything got mixed up and I just created without any proper visual skills and got failed in it. I really don't know what should I do in this but I will try my best to make it successfully again.
Then after this, I made the Stage 3 like this -
